What is Day Treatment for Kids?
Day Treatment is more than traditional after-school care — it’s a therapeutic program designed for children who need extra emotional, behavioral, or social support outside of school hours. In our after-school setting, licensed clinicians lead structured group activities, skill-building exercises, and one-on-one support so children feel encouraged, understood, and capable.
Unlike tutoring or daycare, Day Treatment focuses on your child’s whole well-being — supporting mental health, social skills, and self-confidence while also collaborating with parents and caregivers.

Yes, a mental health or behavioral health diagnosis is required for participation. This program is specifically designed for children and youth with mental health and behavioral health concerns.
A Diagnostic Assessment is an initial evaluation conducted by a licensed professional to assess your child’s mental and behavioral health needs. This assessment helps us determine the best support and services for your child. It is required for participation to ensure we provide appropriate care.
We ask for your insurance information because our Kids after school program is a day treatment program designed to provide structured, therapeutic support for children and youth. Just like visiting a healthcare provider, behavioral health services are considered part of overall health services.
Since our program offers evidence-based care led by licensed professionals, we bill insurance to ensure children receive the support they need. Most insurance plans cover Day Treatment services when medically necessary.
Drop-off and pick-up times will be provided upon registration. We ask that families arrive on time to ensure a smooth transition for all participants.
You will need to provide:
Insurance information
Guardianship paperwork (if you are the child’s legal guardian)
Any relevant medical documents
Medications (if your child is taking medication for behavioral health concerns)
We welcome and often work with children on the autism spectrum! Our program is designed for children who can actively participate in a structured behavioral health setting without requiring a one-on-one aide or additional support for daily living tasks. To ensure we can provide the best care, children should be verbal and able to engage in group activities with guidance from our team.
If you’re unsure whether our program is the right fit for your child, please reach out—we’re happy to discuss your child’s needs and help guide you to the best resources!
We understand that every child’s needs are unique, and behavioral challenges can be a concern for many families. While our program specializes in mental and behavioral health, we are not fully equipped to provide the level of individualized support required for children who need assistance with toileting, a one-on-one aide, or specialized physical accommodations.
If you’re unsure whether our program is the right fit for your child, please reach out—we’re happy to discuss your child’s needs and help guide you to the best resources!
There is no limit to the number of children you can sign up. However, we ask that you provide each child’s name and age when registering so we can best prepare for their participation.
We strive to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Please inform us of any special dietary needs during the registration process so we can make the necessary arrangements.
If we are unable to meet your child’s dietary requirements, we kindly ask that you plan to pack their meals to ensure they have safe and suitable options.

"This program allows students to express themselves through art, sports, music etc. I do believe this program has been a source of encouragement to my younger brother to step out of your comfort zone to meet new people and to experience new beginnings.
